Q47. According to the Regulations on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Fujian, what are the rights and obligations of the protection units of intangible cultural heritage?
Answer: The protection units of intangible cultural heritage shall have the following rights: (a) using the representative item duly and reasonably; (b) obtaining item protection funding; (c) recommending representative inheritor; (d) other rights related to the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
The protection units of intangible cultural heritage shall have the following obligations:(a) making and implementing item protection plans; (b) collecting, filing and preserving the materials, physical objects of representative items, and recording, categorizing and archiving such materials, physical objects and premises; (c)cultivating inheritors and conducting transmission, dissemination and research activities; (d)participating in the publicity, presentation, exchange activities for intangible cultural heritage protection; (e) using the item protection funding for earmarked purposes; (f) reporting the item protection work to the department in charge of culture regularly.
